Leagues

A league is a seasonal team competition — home and away fixtures, a points table, and an optional playoff bracket at the end.

Club admin → Leagues → Create league.

Teams

Club members form teams. A team has:

  • A captain — responsible for submitting lineups, confirming results.
  • A roster of players (up to the team-size limit × 2 for subs).

If Require verified players is on, every player on a roster must have a connected AutoDarts account. Unverified players are rejected with a clear message.

Fixtures

When registration closes, the system generates the fixture list automatically. Each fixture shows:

  • Scheduled date/time (captains can propose reschedules).
  • Home & away lineups.
  • Individual games with live scores once play begins.
  • Overall fixture score and verification status.

Fixture status flow

scheduled → live → completed
           ↘ postponed / on_hold / disputed / forfeit
  • scheduled — date agreed, not yet played.
  • live — at least one game has started.
  • completed — all games reported and verified.
  • postponed / on_hold — paused pending captain or moderator action.
  • disputed — one side has flagged the result.
  • forfeit — walkover, awarded by moderator.

Platform admins and league moderators can change any fixture's status at any time — including completed ones — to fix data issues or reschedule.

League admin screens

  • Standings — live table with all tiebreakers applied.
  • Fixtures — full list, filter by round or team.
  • Moderators — add/remove per-league moderators.
  • Reschedule requests — approve, reject or counter-propose.
  • Disputes — review contested results.

Finishing a season

When all fixtures are completed:

  1. (Optional) launch a playoff bracket from the top N teams.
  2. Mark the season completed. Standings are frozen.
  3. Start a new season from the same league template with one click.

Worked example: BDC Singles League — Spring 2026

Scenario: 6 players in the Berlin Darts Club want a Saturday-evening singles league. Every player plays every other player twice (home & away) → 30 fixtures. Best of 7 legs, 501 double-out.

Set up the league

  1. Club admin → Leagues → Create league.
  2. Fill in:
    • Name: BDC Singles League
    • Season: Spring 2026
    • Team size: 1 (singles)
    • Games per fixture: 1
    • Legs per game: 7, first to 4
    • Starting score / out rule: 501 / Double out
    • Points: Win = 3, Draw = 1, Loss = 0
    • Tiebreakers: 1) Head-to-head, 2) Leg difference, 3) Legs for
    • Require verified players: on (cleanest import from AutoDarts)
    • Is ranked: on (feeds the global leaderboard)
    • Visibility: Public (within the club)
  3. Save. The league is created in registration_open state.

Register the teams (= players)

  1. Each player signs up from the league page → Join as a team.
  2. Each team is auto-named after the player (captain = player).
  3. Once the 6th registration lands, click Close registration — the fixture list is generated automatically (5 rounds × 2 legs × 3 matches per round).

Run the season

  • Players play their fixture on AutoDarts at any agreed time.
  • ThrowSense auto-matches the AutoDarts match → fixture. The ResultSource column shows autodarts when matched automatically, manual when a captain entered the score by hand.
  • Standings, tiebreakers and the my next fixture widget update live.
  • Need to reschedule a specific fixture? A captain clicks **Propose reschedule** → the opponent confirms.

Finish the season

  1. When all 30 fixtures are completed, open League admin → Season.
  2. Optional: start a 4-team single-elim playoff from the top 4.
  3. Click Complete season — standings freeze, the league becomes the Spring 2026 archive.
  4. Click Start new season → pre-filled with the same settings as Fall 2026.
